AN entertainments licence for a school has been granted despite the protests of people living nearby.
Holbrook Primary School in Trowbridge has been granted a licence for Monday to Saturday between 9am and 10pm and Sunday between 9am and 9pm. People living nearby fear the licence could cause an increase in rowdy behaviour and make parking problems worse. But the school insists it does not plan to run any different activities than already take place but has had to apply for the licence under new legislation. A spokesman for the district council said all schools have been advised to apply in the same way.
