MELKSHAM Town Youth Robins were 3-1 winners over Bromham Youth in the under 10s Division, with all the goals coming in the first half.
In a very close encounter Melksham got off to a dream start with a goal from the Sam Rose and a second soon after by Elliot Fudge.
Despite being two goals down Bromham battled well and were unfortunate to go 3-0 behind to a well taken goal by Melksham skipper Daniel Cleverly.
Bromham continued to battle and were rewarded with a good goal from Kyle Smith, who converted a scrambled clearance to make the score 3-1 at half-time.
The second half saw some good defending and battling displays from both teams, with the Melksham goalkeeper making two crucial saves as Bromham attempted to pull back the two-goal lead.
Melksham also had chances, with a shot going across the face of the goal with the keeper beaten.
Both goalkeepers had good games and both teams did exceptionally well in a very entertaining game on a cold November morning.
