CEREAL Partners looks set to continue its £40m expansion with a planning officer advising councillors to back the firm's bid for a distribution centre near Melksham.
The company, based in Staverton, wants to build a warehouse, office, pumphouse, gatehouse and car parking on land next to the Semington bypass.
West Wiltshire District Council's planning officer Peter Westbury said the proposal would bring "significant economic benefits" to Melksham, and would partly complete a planned Semington to Bowerhill bypass.
Cereal Partners wants to use the site as a distribution centre as part of its expansion, which will bring a number of new jobs to the area.
The building would include 18 access points for lorries and a 59-space car park.
The application includes access to the site, opposite Avon Rubber's base, which would mark the start of a planned Semington to Bowerhill bypass.
Melksham Without Parish Council has raised concerns over the size and scale of the building, which it deemed to be "ridiculously tall" at 65ft tall.
West Wiltshire District Council's planning committee will debate the application on Thursday night.
