A GALLERY and shop that gives local artisans the chance to show their work is celebrating its 10th birthday.
NB Gallery, in Church Walk, Trowbridge, began life as Nature's Bounty in Calne in 1995.
It was created by Janet Jackson, 55, as an outlet for her knitwear and has since grown into a business for all the family with daughters Jacqui, 31, and Kim, 29, getting in on the act.
A year after opening Mrs Jackson moved to Trowbridge and her eldest daughter began supplying the gallery with her own handmade textiles, greetings cards and jewellery.
Five year's later Kim joined the firm as the gallery manager and the shop now provides the means for about 50 artists, local and from further afield, to display their work.
Miss Jackson said: "We show work from all over the UK but we continue to support local artists and about a third is from local artists."
The gallery has ceramics, textiles, glassware, cards, wrapping paper, jewellery and a lot more.
Next month staff, artists and loyal customers will all be getting together to celebrate a decade of the gallery with cake, drinks, music and a free prize draw.
The draw is open to anyone and can be entered online at www.nbgallery.co.uk.
