ANOTHER step towards a police state?
With the proposed legislation which will allow council inspectors to enter private homes without a warrant, to allow them to assess what improvements you have spent your highly taxed income on, will they also take into consideration the quality of furnishings etc when setting your council tax?
What will prevent an unscrupulous official passing on details of your property to marketing firms or other individuals? It would appear that these officials would have easier rights of entry than the police.
I urge all council taxpayers to act now and protest against the latest form of state police. I for one am not prepared to pay any fines for non-compliance with a request to enter my private property and will go to jail if necessary.
