THE Save Westbury Hospital Campaign has a balloon launch and march on Saturday at 11am starting in the Market Place, Westbury. It is probably the last march to save our wonderful hospital.
Quite a few residents believe the hospital is already done for and others ask will it make a difference?' My reply is that the hospital is still delivering some important services and I ask has the hospital ever made a difference to you or your family?'. Is it worth fighting for? It is easy to be an armchair or pub pundit but action speaks louder than words.
This march will increase the pressure on the new PCT: you can be sure they will be receiving reports on how well it went. Actions to date have seen the unpopular chief executive Carol Clarke resign and caused a rethink and delay on the farcical public consultation.
Let's give it one more push with a superb attendance at the march. Young and old will feel better for a march to the swirl of a pipe band.
Please make the effort.
B LEE, Dilton Marsh
