Teignmouth continued their domination of team golf in Devon by sweeping to a third successive victory in the county's prestigious knock-out competition, the Palairet Memorial Trophy.
The inter-club team competition that all clubs enter is concluded at one venue, this year Tiverton were hosts. Teignmouth beat Bigbury 4-1 in the final.
They were taken to the wire before beating close neighbours Churston 3-2 in the semi-final. At the same time Stover lost by the same score to Bigbury but claimed third place by defeating Churston in the play-off.
Teignmouth, a side bristling with county players, also won the Torbay Cup at Churston, a competition played to a Ryder Cup format between the five South Devon clubs. Torbay Cup - Teignmouth 58.5pts, Churston 57, Stover 44.5, Warren 40.5, Torquay 39.5.
Teignmouth happy captain Andy Capener was one of four members of the club to take part in a charity event for Cystic Fibrosis and CLIC.
They played one hole at 18 golf clubs in Devon and raised £1,200 that was swelled later to £3,000 at an auction.
The others were club secretary Andy Stubbs, club champion Justin Manester and Simon Coburn who were driven car by Richard Osborne.
They started at 4am with Tavistock the first venue, advancing to Hurdwick,Yelverton, Staddon Heights, Elfordleigh, Dinnaton, Wrangaton, Churston, Torquay, Dainton Park, Hele Park, Stover, Fingle Glen, Downes Crediton, Exeter, Exminster and Warren before returning to play the 18th hole at Teignmouth.
