Long Ashton's star player Chris Wood underlined his enormous potential by winning the Duchess Salver by a record points margin.
He claimed the City and County of Bristol Championship at Henbury for his third Gloucestershire order of merit title in what has become by far his most successful season. County champion Wood, aged 18, almost doubled the number of points logged by runner-up Nick Day (Henbury).
Duchess Salver: Chris Wood 421, Nick Day (Henbury) 221, Andy Hale (Chipping Sodbury) 197, Paul Garland (Knowle).
