COMPTON Desmond (Des) of Fairfield Farm, Bradford Leigh ran out of steam at home on 20th April 2024 aged 93 years. Husband of the late Lucya Compton. The funeral service takes place Wednesday 29th May, 1pm at DJ Bewley Service Room, 15 Bank St, Melksham. Donations if desired are for Dorothy House Hospice via: desmondcompton.muchloved.comTributes

Due to Fairfield Farm originally being my wife's grandparents home many years ago in the 1930/40s we often used to stop to take a look at the old place. One day i met Dennis in the garden and he very kindly showed my wife and myself around the old property. My wife was thrilled as she use to visit her grandparents there. Dennis was so welcoming to us and we will never forget his kindness as we were really strangers to him. We also were invited to see his wonderful collection of Tractors etc that he was so very proud of. Thankyou Dennis for your kindness shown to us. God bless you .
