BROOKS Edwin (Eddie) Of Trowbridge. Passed away peacefully on 15th February 2024, aged 72. Funeral service to be held at West Wiltshire Crematorium on Monday 11th March 2024, at 1.15 pm. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, will be given to The Fire Brigade Benevolent Fund c/o DJ Bewley Funeral Directors, Manvers Street, Trowbridge BA14 8EH. Tel: 01225 353525.

I would like to send my condolences to the family of this sad time. Eddie was a very nice gentleman and neighbour to the neighbourhood. Will be sadly missed by all of us.

There are no words to express how much we miss you every day. You were an amazing husband, father and grand father.
For the last 18 months you have been lost but I know that you are now at peace with mum. I hope that we all continue to make you proud.

I was a retained firefighter with Eddie at Trowbridge for 22 years, we had many happy and some very sad times during this period. A firefighter could wish for no better backup when on a job with Eddie. He would always be the first to volunteer for any 'nasty tasks' that had to be completed. The residents of Trowbridge owe a great deal to his brave and dedicated service that he performed throughout his years. He is now reunited with Sue. Rest in peace mate.

God bless you Eddie , worked with you at Trowbridge Fire Station, but knew you from when we were young too, lovely man, you will be so missed xx
