GREENAWAY John Passed away peacefully on 18th March surrounded by his loving family, at the RUH, following a short illness. Loving husband to Glayne for 55 years, devoted father and father-in-law to Jane & Vincent and Paul & Julie and the proudest Grandad to 8 grandchildren in France and New Zealand. All are welcome to a service of thanksgiving to be held at St. James' Church, Trowbridge at 11am Thursday 29th March, following a private committal for close family only. Donations in lieu of flowers to The Guild of Community Service Minibus fund and Action for Children - both charities close to John's heart. Sign in to add a tributeHe taught me "A" level Geography in the very early seventies and he treated all his pupils with such kindness and respect along with being a a wonderful teacher. I have never forgotten him and it has been such a pleasure to talk with him on the many times I have bumped into him since leaving school. I'm so sorry that I won't be able to attend his funeral as I am currently working in Spain, but my thoughts will be with you all.
