HAMPTON Lesley Joan The family wish to announce the sad passing of Lesley Joan Hampton (nee Allan) 1947 - 2016. At The Royal in Bath after a short illness, Lesley suffered with Multiple Sclerosis for 40 years and more recently with Osteoporosis, never complaining about her situation. Lesley was born in Haslemere, Surrey but moved to Wiltshire in 1974, she was bookkeeper at Middleton & Upsall Solicitors until the first of our two children were born in 1977. Lesley will be remembered for her sterling work in raising funds to start the original Wessex HBO therapy centre in Warminster as treasurer. Lesley also appeared on local television and in the Wiltshire Times championing access for disabled wheelchair users. She councelled newly diagnosed MS sufferers with some success. Lesley leaves a husband Peter of 45 years, two sons Jamie and Edward and four grandchildren Ella, Brandon, Kaitlin and James. She will be sadly missed by her family and personal carers from various local care companies, all became her friends. The funeral will be held at West Wiltshire Crematorium, Semington on Thursday 15th December at 1.45pm, friends are welcome.
