The Highwayman & Other Songs From The Shadows, Friday October 13, 7.30pm The Mona Lisas, Tuesday, October 17, Arc Theatre, Trowbridge.
Counterparts Music Theatre Arts are presenting The Highwayman & Other Songs From The Shadows at The Arc Theatre Trowbridge on Friday at 7.30pm.
Celebrating its centenary this year, The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes remains as popular as ever. Set to the dramatic, evocative music of Dorset composer Helen Porter, and performed by eight soloists with a chamber ensemble of some of the country's finest performers, it will also feature live shadow animation by the internationally acclaimed Joe Gladwin (Paperplays). Six moral' tales span the length and breadth of human folly with passion, humour, horror and beauty. A truly exciting musical experience for adults and children alike.
On Tuesday, October 17, The Arc is hosting a theatre and dinner night with Theatre Mlange (UK) and Ariel Theatre (Romania) with The Mona Lisas. This sharply humourous performance, which dynamically links theatre and image, takes the audience on a surreal journey through an explosive landscape of modern visual art.
Tickets for The Highwayman £10; The Mona Lisas £8.95/£7.50. Two course meal and theatre ticket £16.
