THEY say that farce is the most difficult type of drama to do well but Frome Drama Club have thrown caution to the wind and chosen a farce about a farce for their spring production.
Michael Frayn’s Noises Off, which has the reputation of being one of the funniest plays ever written, takes a wry but affectionate look at the traditional bedroom farce and turns it into a comic masterpiece as we watch an ill-assorted group of ‘professional actors’ create mania and mayhem out of an inoffensive little play called Nothing On, which they are supposedly taking on a tour of the provinces.
