THE POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a scout hut was broken into and damaged twice.
Over the past week, the scout hut on Westmead Lane in Chippenham has been broken into and vandalised twice.
The first of the break-ins were reported on Monday, October 11 when the keyholder opened the building and found a large amount of broken glass, graffiti on the walls and all the cupboards emptied.
The police said this could have happened at any point since the building was last used on Wednesday, October 6.
A spokesman for the force said: “The building was then broken into a second time on the evening of Monday, October 11 when further damage was caused.
