Trowbridge Civic Centre was very lucky to host Declan McKenna on Saturday 10th of February, as he is going on a small tour around the United Kingdom for his recent album release, What Happened to the Beach? The intimate concert started at 9 p.m., finishing at approximately 10 p.m. with the additional encore.
Trowbridge Civic Centre is a venue for a plethora of events, such as live entertainment, meetings, and even a function room for hire for parties. As a modern building in a historical town, the civic centre is an attractive place to hold business meetings and socialise with colleagues. With a vast auditorium, the centre has been lucky to hold many other intimate concerts and tribute acts for the local towns; they have been equally lucky to host other artists such as Tom Grennan and George Ezra.
The intimate concert consisted of 11 songs, 7 of which were from this newly released album, while the other 4 were fan favourites from previous albums. These were Brazil, British Bombs, Make Me Your Queen, and the encore Listen to Your Friends from his album What Do You Think About the Car? After the concert had finished, there was a chance for fans to buy merchandise from his recently released album What Happened to the Beach, including a tote bag priced at £15 and a t-shirt priced at £25. Both of which have the album cover printed on the item and the t-shirt having the artist’s tour dates printed on the back.
