A homeless charity which serves up to 5,000 free hot meals a year expects to be busier than ever as temperatures plummet.
Alabaré is raising awareness about its drop-in centre on Duke Street in Trowbridge as the winter weather worsens.
A charity spokesman said that “The harsh reality is that the cold weather will kill some of the people living on our streets this winter.
“The drop-in centre does all it can to support homeless and vulnerable people throughout the year, but the work is especially important during the winter months.
“As well as offering advice and guidance on a range of issues, the centre also provides hot food and drink, sleeping bags and warm clothing to those who are sleeping rough,” he said.
The Trowbridge Drop-In Centre, which can be found at 12-14 Duke Street, is open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 4pm.
