The date has been announced for the Wiltshire Business Expo 2014, an event showcasing local companies and exploring how digital technology can boost business.

Wiltshire Business Expo 2014, part of Wiltshire Council’s Legacy for Wiltshire programme, was first launched last year and attracted more than 80 local companiess.

This year’s event will be held on June 19 at Monkton Park in Chippenham and will focus on harnessing digital technology to boost business.

So far more than 100 companies have registered an interest to take part in this key event in Wiltshire’s economic calendar.

The event is free to attend and includes a number of seminars on the digital theme, including:

  • Keeping ahead of the latest digital technology and using it to promote your business
  • Making sure your website is user friendly
  • Successful business networking online and offline

This year’s Wiltshire Business Expo will also feature a Wealth of Wiltshire Fayre, showcasing local wines, food, produce and drink.

Jane Scott, leader of Wiltshire Council and chair of the Legacy Steering Board said: “Last year’s event was a resounding success, showcasing the wealth of services and products that are available in Wiltshire.

“Working together with businesses to boost the local economy and create and safeguard jobs is a key priority for the council. 

"The Business Expo is an opportunity to bring businesses and local people together to network and explore new mutually beneficial opportunities.

“I am pleased that this year we will also be hosting a Wealth of Wiltshire Fayre which will promote the very best of Wiltshire’s food and drink. The event focuses on highlighting Wiltshire’s businesses and strengthening the local economy.”
