A BUSINESS owner who was left devastated in March after his restaurant was raided has stepped up security.
The Cinnamon Lounge in High Street, Westbury, was raided on Saturday, March 6 and nearly £5,000 was stolen from the safe and £200 from the till.
But Mohammed Sufian, 27, says the business is now stronger than ever.
He said: “We have had a completely new security system fitted this week to prevent anything like that happening again.
“We have a brand new alarm system and we have also installed CCTV in the car park behind the restaurant which looks onto the entrance. That will keep both the restaurant and customers’ cars safe.
“On top of that we have put three new doors in place to make it much harder to get in, and we are confident nobody will be able to do so unless authorised.
“It was a huge shock for us when we got broken into but it has made us stronger and safer than ever. As always, we look forward to welcoming guests to try our food.”
