A DIESEL thief who drove a car dangerously has been warned he is facing a jail term for a string of offences.
Ali Gocmen, 22, admitted first stealing a quantity of red diesel on June 12, when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court on Tuesday.
Then on July 31 he tried to steal more fuel, damaged a VW Golf and drove a white Transit van dangerously on the A365 and Snowberry Lane, Bowerhill.
The defendant, of Holt, also admitted driving without due care and attention in Bristol on August 12.
Judge Tim Mousley QC adjourned the case so the probation service can compile a pre-sentence report.
He said: "You have pleaded guilty to a number of serious matters which you know will result in a prison sentence, the only matter is how long that prison sentence will be."
The judge remanded him in custody and also imposed an interim driving ban.
Yasmin Mason, 20, of Hillview Road, Bristol, pleaded not guilty to the theft of diesel with Gocmen in June.
Colin Meeke, prosecuting, offered no evidence against her after hearing her co-defendant admit the matters and the judge returned a formal not guilty verdict.
