A Wiltshire firm founded by a husband and wife team is celebrating a “wonderful” 20 years in business.

John Williams Heating Services Ltd was established by John Williams in April 2004, from his Chippenham home, while his wife Debbie provided administrative support.

The pair have grown the business in the past two decades and now employ 27 people from their premises on the Bumpers Farm Industrial Estate.

Mr Williams said: “We can’t believe it’s been 20 years, the time has gone so quickly.

“Yet when I look back to that moment I became self-employed with Debbie supporting me, I can’t help but feel proud of how far we’ve come and what a wonderful team we’ve built.”

The firm is continuing to grow thanks to high demand for its services, and the Bumpers Farm base was recently expanded to accommodate a growing workload.

Mr Williams added: “We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped and supported us on our journey, we really appreciate it.

“Here’s to plenty more years ahead.

“We’re excited for our future and we will continue to work hard to provide our customers with the very best service.”

During their 20 years in business, Mr Williams says the company has done its best to become one of the most successful heating and plumbing firms in the area.

The team now works all over Wiltshire, Bath, and the surrounding areas.

Among the multiple awards won by the team is the prestigious title of Apprenticeship Employer of the Year, which they scooped on multiple occasions.

Mrs Williams says this award is a testament to the company's dedication to nurturing young talent and growth within the industry.

She added: “We believe strongly in the importance and value of apprenticeships.

“John started as an apprentice as a teenager and we passionately believe it’s a wonderful way to start a career.

“We’ve always prided ourselves on enabling our apprentices to be the best they can be.”

The duo has also done their best to give back to the community over the years, supporting charities such as Wiltshire Air Ambulance, the British Heart Foundation, National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society, and Dorothy House.

Mrs Williams said: “We have an amazing local community here and we’re keen to do what we can to give back.

“We’ve raised money through team and individual events, and where we can we like to support projects which enrich our own community in Chippenham.”
